Pattern Description:
The first of 12 washcloth patterns in my upcoming ebook (see the other offered here - Japanese Garden - for the last of 12, and the most difficult!) Simple and quick, this floral motif of knit and purl stitches can be worked up in just a little while - it's a good warm‐up for
beginning knitters and a great pattern for gifts! Use a solid yarn
so the motif is plainly visible. Although all patterns included in
my Lather Up! series specify a US8 needle so that beginning
knitters can keep their supplies to a minimum, this one can
stretch larger due to the stockinette. Feel free to step down to a
US7 if you have one on hand. A ruler or sticky note might also be
handy for keeping up with the rows.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 8"x8"
Materials:
- Approximately 2 oz. of cotton, hemp, linen or blended yarn
You Will Also Need:
- US 7 or 8 straight or circular needles
- tapestry needle for weaving in ends
