Pattern Description:

Looking for a speedy way to use up remainder yarn and protect your table from hot dishes? Well look no further! The Julia hot pot stand features the beautifully textured Close stitch which is a wonderful reversible stitch that naturally lays completely flat without the need for blocking. This, combined with a densely knitted chunky yarn makes a brilliantly sturdy and protective stand.


15 sts / 25 rows = 4 ins / 10 cm in Close Stitch using US10.5/ 6.5mm needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Version 1 - Rectangular: Width 8 ins/ 20cm, Length 10ins/ 25.5cm.
  • Version 2 - Square: Width & Length 8ins/ 20cm.


  • Sirdar Big Softie x 1 ball
  • Sirdar Denim ultra x 1 ball
  • 1 set US 10.5/ 6.5mm straight needles.
  • 1 J10/ 6mm crochet hook.

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle for finishing.
