Pattern Description:

I wanted to design a series of traditional Christmas stockings using various different motifs and certain repeating themes. The Cross and Leaf stocking is one of four different stockings in the series.

It's always about the details for me when creating a knitted piece, and this stocking has some lovely ones. It begins with a two-color cast-on and knitted braid and progresses through several different motifs and color changes. Use duplicate stitch after the stocking is finished to personalize for someone special.

The Cross & Leaf stocking is pictured with the Holly & Snowflake stocking, another in the series also available on Craftsy. These stockings may be purchased individually, or as a set called Fair Isle Stockings II.

19 sts and 22 rows =4" in stranded colorwork
