Full of colors, stripes, and an attractive ridged texture, this stocking pattern is very fun to knit. The color changes keep even the most seasoned knitter interested. These are very addicting to make. You'll find yourself planning the next stocking... choosing different yarns and color combinations to create your own unique Striped Stocking! Make one for everyone in the family, each personalized with the recipient's favorite colors. These are true compliment magnets.
This pattern was originally written to be made with a worsted weight yarn, but while writing the pattern I decided to see what would happen if I used sock yarn. Looks great!
16 sts and 18 rows = 4 inches (stockinette)

In my spare time I enjoy (duh!) knitting and crocheting, reading my Nook, walking... spare time is limited these days with nursing classes. If only I could find a way to knit while I study...
