Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit, purl, basic increasing and decreasing, seaming

Pattern Description:

Bee Cosy tea cosy! It's got wings...

The cosy is worked flat in pieces and seamed together, leaving a hole for the handle and spout.

The little top wings and double button eyes are sewn on at the end to embellish your cosy.

Gauge:

13 stitches and 18 rows = 4 inches (10 x 10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit: circumference up to 50 cm (19 1/2"), height 18 cm (7").

Materials:

  • 82 metres (90 yards) of each of the main colours (black and yellow, chunky/bulky weight yarn).
  • 20 metres (22 yards) of wing colour (DK weight yarn).
  • US 10 (6 mm) needles
  • US 2 (3 mm) needles

You Will Also Need:

  • 2 large white buttons and 2 medium black buttons to make the eyes.

Suggested yarn:

180 yards of Chunky weight
