Basic Skills Necessary:

  • provisional cast on
  • kitchener graft
  • short rows

Pattern Description:

Autumn Eddy is a little baby blanket accented with a lacy motif designed to look like leaves floating in a whirlpool. It is knit from side to side starting with a provisional cast on and joined at the end with a kitchener graft. The blanket is worked in 22 sections or wedges shaped by short row sts.

Detailed instructions are given on how to do the kitchener graft.

You can choose between using the chart or following written instructions.

Finished size: 40 inches in diameter

Yarn: 4 skeins Cascade 220 Superwash 100g 220 yds (200 m), shown in color 1969


16.5 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch after blocking
