Anadara Blanket is a blanket version of the Anadara shawl. Based on pi shawl construction, it features expanding sections of garter rib ending in a delicate scalloped border.
It can be knit in all weights of yarn-from laceweight to bulky-depending on the desired look and purpose. Adjust needle size to get an appropriate fabric.
Yardage necessary varies from 725 yards for the baby version up to 2625 yards for the maximum diameter adult version. For a worsted-to-chunky weight blanket, the approximate yardages by section are:
Section 1: 15 yds
Section 2: 20 yds
Section 3: 15 yds
Section 4: 150 yds
Section 5: 35 yds
Section 6: 420 yds
Section 7: 70 yds (adult and baby ruffle only)
Section 8: up to 1700 yds (adult only)
Lace Edging: 200 yds (baby); 400 yds (adult and baby ruffle)
