I loved the simplicity of this twist rib, set against a variegated yarn. The rib transitions beautifully from wide to narrow, at just the right place to flatter your figure. This sweater would be equally lovely worked up in a solid or tweed yarn.
The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 5 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.
25 sts and 20 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Wide Twist Rib, using larger needles
29 sts and 26 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Narrow Twist Rib, using larger needles
At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
