Tramline Cable Pullover #155

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, increases, decreases, picking up stitches, cabling

Pattern Description:

I love the large cable in this sweater, so when I designed the smaller cable, I took it from the center portion of the larger cable. I added the rice stitch panels for contrast and to frame the cables. I love the results!

The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 4.5 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.

Gauge:

26 sts and 26 rows = 4" (10 cm) over Tramline Cable, using larger needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • XXS (28") to 6X (68.5")

Materials:

  • 1150-2275 yards worsted weight yarn
  • sizes 6 (4mm) and 7 (4.5mm) needles

You Will Also Need:

  • cable needle

About the designer

At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
