Pattern Description:
St. Kilda is my answer to surviving a lowered thermostat. My intention in designing this sweater was just that, to create the perfect sweater to keep me warm at home this winter.
Pear Tree's supersoft 10-ply is such a luxurious merino, that St. Kilda won't just be my cozy at-home sweater, I'll be wearing this one out-and-about. Bring on the cold weather!
Gauge:
18 sts/22 rows = 4" over St st and 21 sts/32 rows = 4" over jewel cross.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Bust: 36 1/2 (38 3/4, 41 1/4, 43 1/2, 45 3/4, 48, 50 1/4)".
- Length: 26 (26 1/2, 27, 27 1/2, 28, 28 1/2, 29)".
- Allow 3" - 4" of ease for a loose fit.
Materials:
- 1330 (1395, 1485, 1585, 1660, 1755, 1860)yds worsted weight yarn.
- Shown in Pear Tree Yarn - super soft 10-ply - 100% fine merino; 180yds (165m)/100g; Color #206 Nut, 8 (8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11) skeins.
You Will Also Need:
- Size 8 (5mm) needles and same size 16" circular needle for neck. Size may need to be adjusted to obtain gauge.
