Most sock patterns require DPNs or 40" circular needles. I was never able to find a pattern for how to make them with straight needles and so decided to create the pattern.
This pattern is highly customizable. Instructions are given for both general sizes as well as personal measurements. DK weight yarn and size 5 knitting needles are recommended for children's socks for better durability.
The finished sock will look big, however it will fit just right with a bit of room for growth
Children's Sizes using DK weight yarn and size 5 needles: 6 stitches, 7 rows per inch
Adult Sizes using light weight sock yarn and size 3 needles: 7.5 stitches per inch, 9 rows per inch
130 yards of Fingering weight
I love knitting and crocheting. I make the pattern for the majority of my projects. I also like to scrap book, draw, and paint.
