(6) Name: 'Knitting : Silversage

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • circular knitting for sleeves
  • pick up sts for shawl collar

Pattern Description:

Silversage is part of the "Spice Girls 2" collection, a collection of functional, modern, and practical layering pieces and cardigans.

Silversage is completely seamless and is worked from the top down. I have used an amazing technique developed by Susie Myers, "contiguous set-in sleeves", that allows shoulder shaping and construction of set-in sleeves without the use of a single short row.

Silversage is designed to showcase hand painted variegated yarns, though worked in solid colors it is equally as stunning.

The main features of the cardigan are shawl collar, sleeve cuffs, and two different closure types one can choose.
