Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • circular knitting
  • flat knitting
  • bind off

Pattern Description:

Embodying the elements of figure flattering design, the Sheer Illusion tank is fun to knit and eye catching to wear. The body is knit in the round double stranded with a peplum to draw the garment away from the hips and simple waist shaping. The sheer top is knit flat single stranded above the bust in front and from the armscye in back. A keyhole opening & button closure adds a touch of style to the sheer back. This seamless knit featuring an effortless pattern repeat is finished with an easy rolled edging.

Tech edited pattern includes written directions, pattern repeat charts, short row shoulder drop charts, a glossary, pictures, and notes.

Special Notes:
The fabric has a unique drape. Make sure to wash and block your swatch before knitting.
If substituting yarn, make sure the yarn matches the washed & dried gauge. The sheer top is achieved by single stranding the yarn. If substituting yarn, look for one that creates a similar difference when changing the stranding.
The body of the garment is knit in the round with yarn held double. This transitions to knitting flat with the yarn held single in the back at the arm opening bind offs and in the front after end of the first pattern repeat.
