Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, basic increases and decreases, slipping sts

Pattern Description:

Sally is a slip stitch patterned cardigan or vest that is worked in one piece to the underarm. The sleeves are worked in the round from the armhole down. This all means that you have very little finishing to do when you are done knitting You can chose from the vest or cardigan version or maybe make one of each - they are quick!

Gauge:

4.5 sts/ 1" in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • FINISHED CHEST MEASUREMENTS: 22 (23, 24, 25, 26.5)"
  • These measurements correspond to children's sizes 3-6 months (1 yr, 2 yrs, 3 yrs, 4 yrs)

Materials:

  • Cardigan - Worsted weight: Color A - 190 (235, 260, 335, 390) yds
  • Color B - 105 (125, 140, 160, 180) yds
  • Vest - Worsted weight: Color A - 125 (150, 180, 185, 200) yds
  • Color B - 105 (125, 140, 160, 180) yds
  • #8 24" circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
  • #8 Double Pointed needles for sleeves
  • Ring markers
  • 3 - 5 1/2 to 3/4" Buttons
