  • Basic knitting (knit, purl, increases, decreases), picking up stitches, knitting in the round for the hat

Pattern Description:

If you need an easy baby set for gift or that special little one in your life, Robin is the pattern for you. It works up quickly with a minimum of finishing. This sweater and hat looks equally as good on a boy or a girl, depending on the yarn you use. We are sure you will knit this pattern over and over.

Gauge:

5 1/2 stitches = 1" DK weight yarn

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Hat: 14" circumference = baby; 16" circumference = toddler
  • Cardigan: 18" finished chest = Newborn-6 mo. 20" finished chest = 12-18 mo.

Materials:

  • Cardigan: 225-255 yds DK weight yarn, #6 needles, 2 1/2" buttons
  • Hat: 90-120 yds DK weight yarn, #6 double pointed needles, 1 1" button
