Pattern Description:

A unisex pullover or cardigan to knit in eleven sizes (XS, S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, 7X), with alternating panels of cable and rib to provide cozy, sturdy texture. All pieces are knit flat, bottom up, and seamed; sweater has set-in sleeves with ribbed v-neck or round neck and front finishes. Knits up nicely in a variety of light worsted solid, tweed, or tonal handpainted yarns.

Gauge:

20 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles (unblocked)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 32.5(35.75, 39, 42.25, 45.75, 49)[52.25, 55.75, 59, 62.25, 65.75] inches/82.5(91, 99, 107.5, 116, 124.5)[132.5, 141.5, 150, 158, 167] cm around chest at underarm to fit with 4-6 inches of ease.

Materials:

  • 1075(1225, 1400, 1600, 1775, 1975)[2200, 2400, 2650, 2875, 3125) yards/975(1125, 1275, 1450, 1625, 1800)[2000, 2200, 2425, 2650, 2875] meters of light worsted yarn
  • size 6US (4.0 mm) needle for body or size to obtain correct gauge
  • size 4US (3.5 mm) needle for cuffs and collar (or two sizes smaller than body needle)

You Will Also Need:

  • crew cardigan: 8(8, 9, 9, 9, 9)[10, 10, 10, 10, 11] .75-inch/2-cm buttons
  • v-neck cardigan: 6(6, 7, 7, 7, 7)[8, 8, 8, 8, 9] .75-inch/2-cm buttons
