Inspired by the preppy style of my favorite coastal town, this simple vest is made interesting with garter stitch details and an upside down shawl collar. The perfect layering piece to add a touch of warmth to your day at the beach.
This vest is worked flat in two pieces. Shoulders and sides are seamed together using mattress stitch before the collar is picked up and worked flat with short row shaping and an I-cord bind-off. Finishing includes stitching one side of collar in place and picking up stitches around armholes for ribbing.
