Basic Skills Necessary:

Pattern Description:

This sweater is knit from the top downthe yoke is worked, then the sleeve stitches are placed on holders while the body is worked. The sleeve stitches are returned to double pointed needles then worked for a few rounds.

No seaming is required to make this piece.

Gauge:

16 sts and 23 rnds = 4" (10 cm) in 2 x 2 Rib after wet-blocking and stretching to dry.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 31 (35, 39, 43, 47, 51, 55)" chest circumference
  • 78.5 (89, 99, 109, 119.5, 129.5, 139.5) cm chest circumference

Materials:

  • Pakucho's worsted yarn: 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) hanks in Forest Mist color
  • or 400 (460, 550, 630, 720, 820, 930) yards in a comparable earth-friendly yarn
  • 16" circular needle size US 9 (5.5 mm)
  • 29" circular needle size US 9 (5.5 mm)
  • double pointed needles size US 9 (5.5 mm)
