Pattern Description:

A modern version of an old classic pattern.
The pattern includes instructions for optional ribbing around the leg.

Easy flat knitting pattern in two sizes to fit all nappy/ diaper wearing babies and toddlers.
The rib section across the crotch is highly absorbent and molds well to babies shape.

Use only superwash wool in a 8 ply weight and needles size 4mm or US6.

Have fun using all sorts of colours, makes a nice photo prop as well!

I have seen a similar designs in a vintage pattern, but it only included one size.

This pattern comes in two sizes to accommodate all babies from birth to 2 years:

0 to 12 months
12 to 24 months

The pattern has optional leg opening ribbing if you like a snug fit around the thighs.

Gauge:

22st and 28 rows make 10 cm or 4 inch square

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • small; 0-12 months
  • large:12-24 months

Materials:

  • 100(150) g of 8ply pure wool yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • knitting needles size 4mm or US6
