Pattern Description:

Inspired by a favorite children's book in our home, Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney, the cables on this sweater are reminiscent of a winding path dotted with bright colored lupines.

In the story, a girl's grandfather inspires her to make the world a more beautiful place. So, as a grown woman, she sows lupine seeds all over her seaside town to make it more beautiful.

The design features a collar with 3 unique cables with the center cable winding down the length of the back of the sweater.

This cardi is knit top down with raglan increases and no seaming. Sleeves are placed on waste yarn and finished using double pointed needles or the magic loop method.
