Pattern Description:

Design by Lynette Meek

Toe up lace stockings with added beads, worked from toe to heel in the round and then completed in rows.


36 sts and 48 rnds = 4"/10cm over St st using size 1 (2.25mm) needles and A.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Foot circumference 8"/20.5cm
  • Length from heel to toe 9"/23cm
  • Length from heel to cuff 18"/45.5cm
  • Note: Length of foot can be adjusted by working even after toe shaping.


  • 1 3 1/2 oz/100g hank (each approx 425yd/389m) of Lorna's Laces Solemate (superwash wool/outlast/nylon) in #1311 the bean (silver and cream A)
  • 1 4oz/113g hank (each approx 1250yd/1143m) of Lorna's Laces Helen's Lace (silk/wool) in #1311 the bean (silver and cream B)
  • 2 40gr packets of Matsuno size #8 beads, in ceylon grey pastel (Fire Mountain Gems)
  • 2 size 1 (2.25mm) circular needles, 24"/60cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
  • One each sizes 1.5, 2 and 3 (2.5, 2.75 and 3mm) circular needles, 24"/60cm long
  • 2 size 1 (2.25mm) dpn for I-cord
  • Size E-4 (3.5mm) crochet hook for provisional cast-on
  • Size .6mm crochet hook for adding beads
  • Stitch markers, scrap yarn
  • (Note: Approx 1/4 of the hank of B was used.)
