Pattern Description:
Kinsale is a small town located at the mouth of the River Bandon in Cork County, Ireland. The yarn that I used reminded me of the very same colors in the waters off the coast of Kinsale. The twisted rib detail echoes the waves of the sea while also representing the narrow and compact streets of Kinsale.
This pullover is knit from the top down. It is started flat with the twisted rib repeat on the front sections only. It is later joined for in the round knitting.
Gauge:
Gauge: 20sts/24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Sizes 6 months [12 months, 18 months, 2T, 4T]
- Chest: 21 [22, 23, 25, 27] inches
- Length: 11.25 [12, 12.5, 13.85, 14.6] inches
Materials:
- 1 set US 7/4.5 mm double point needles
- 1-16 inch US 7/4.5mm circular needle for 6m and 12m sizes.
- 1-24 inch US 7/4.5mm circular needle for 18m, 2T, and 4T size.
- Malabrigo Rios [100% Superwash Merino; 210 yards per 100 grams] Color: Aquas 2[2,2,3,3] skeins
