re: the Ice sweater......why are there holes around the begining row of crochet on the lace band on the sleeve. Is it possible to eliminate those? I simply adore this item all but that one thing. Bonnie 10-6-2012

I have purchased this pattern and am currently making it. So far I have had many compliments on it.
I should also add that the designer is very helpful. I had questions regarding the pattern (I'm a beginner) and she promptly answered my questions.

Yes I used fingering weight yarn. I wouldn't use anything heavier.

How large is large? Can you be more specific with the finished size? Or is it easy to adjust for extra girth as needed?

Can you please confirm that this is truly knitted with fingering weight, it usually is 7-8 sts to the inch.
