Basic Skills Necessary:

  • picking up stitches
  • three needle bind off or kitchener stitch (optional)

Pattern Description:

This is a great wear everywhere jacket. The attached hood has ribbing around the opening that will not fall off, making it perfect for spring and fall outings.

This jacket is designed with up to 3" of positive ease for wearing over other clothing. Please keep that in mind when choosing your size.


17 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sizes: 3 (6, 12,18,24) months. Model is shown in size 18 months


  • Any heavy worsted weight yarn that will give you the indicated gauge. I used: Berroco Jasper 100% Fine Merino Wool; 98-yds/90 m per 1.75oz/50g skein
  • largest size takes 588 yds
  • Small amount contrast color worsted weight yarn
