  • Knit, purl, increase, decrease, work cables

Pattern Description:

This vest features traditional cables with a large cable placed at the shoulders. It is knitted flat from the bottom up and sewn together. The cabled button bands are knitted as part of the vest fronts then extend as a band around the back neck edge. Short row shaping is used for shoulder shaping and to shape the neck band.


18 sts/4 inches in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 30 1/2 (35, 37 1/2, 42, 45 1/2, 50, 54 1/2)"


  • 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6) skeins Black Water Abbey Yarns Worsted Weight Yarn
  • Size 7 and 8- 24 inch or 32 inch circular needle, option cable needle, stitch markers stitch holders or scrap yarn, tapestry needle
