Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Turn a cable, pick up stitches

Pattern Description:

This vest is knitted in one piece from the bottom up with the front and back separated at the armhole. The hem, armhole, front and neck edges are rolled stockinette stitch.
The allover cable pattern creates a firm fabric, so the vest is knitted using a larger needle size that typically used with sport weight yarn.

Gauge:

36 sts/32 rows= 4 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 33 1/2, 38, 42 1/2, 47, 51 1/2 inch (finished chest measurements)

Materials:

  • Yarn- 800-1280 sport weight yarn
  • Needles- size 6(4.0 mm) 24 inch circular, size 4 (3.5 mm) 16 inch and 24 inch circular
  • Cable needle, tapestry needle
