Pattern Description:

Perfect for a new baby gift or photography prop, this lovely little dress features scalloped lace, puffed sleeves, and a ribbon tie. A classic style, the Gracie Dress can be paired with bloomers or can be worn on it's own, to show off little baby legs!

Sized to fit newborns up to 12 months. Adjustable, this dress has room for baby to grow. 2 patterns included: newborn-6 months and 6-12 months.
This pattern is part of my Gracie series, and more patterns are soon to come!

Knit in the round. You will also work on double pointed needles.

Gauge: about 20 stitches=4" on size 7 needles, in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Newborn-6 Months
  • 6-12 Months


  • 4.25 ounces (about 120 grams) worsted weight yarn in primary color (I used Knitpicks Comfy Worsted)
  • .33 ounces (about 20 yards) worsted weight yarn in coordinating color, for collar
  • U.S. Size 7 (4.5 mm), 32" (or 24") circular needles
  • 1 Set, U.S. Size 7 (4.5 mm), double pointed needles
  • 2 stitch holders
  • (3) 1/2" Buttons
  • Stitch Marker
  • (1) 3/8" (or matching 1/2") decorative button for the front (optional)
  • 1 yard, 1/2", Coordinating Ribbon
  • Needle and thread, for sewing buttons

Suggested yarn:

285 yards of Worsted weight
