This sweater is a very easy one to knit, yet it's so beautiful! For new knitters, the eyelet pattern isn't difficult at all - if you can purl two stitches together, you can do it! For more experienced knitters, because of the bulky yarn and easy stitch pattern, it's a very quick and satisfying project. Take it with you on a long weekend - you'll be amazed at how much you get done!
The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 3.75 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.
15 sts and 23 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Garter Eyelet Pattern
At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
