Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • charted lace
  • make 1 (increase)
  • Intarsia

Pattern Description:

Every girly needs a twirly skirt ... even a grown-up girly

This 6-panel skirt is knit from the waist down, in-the-round until the lace inserts are added. The project switches to flat knitting in sections, adding intarsia gores and linking the seams to complete the piece.


23 sts and 30 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 34 (36, 38, 40)" waist
  • 41 (43, 45, 47)" hip
  • 25.5 (26, 26.5, 27)" length


  • circular needle 32" US #5/3,75mm
  • crochet hook F/3.75mm
  • 6 stitch markers
  • yarn needle

You Will Also Need:

  • elastic for waistline 3/4" wide by waist measurement less 2"
  • small plastic zip bags

Suggested yarn:

1035 yards of Sport weight
