(6) Name: 'Knitting : Esmeralda

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit/ Purl
  • Incrase/ Decrease
  • knit in the round

Pattern Description:

Esmeralda is a top down cardigan knit in a bulky/heavy worsted weight yarn. It is virtually seamless with just 2 small holes in the under arm to sew. It is perfect for the fall and winter. The overlapping fronts just make me want to curl up in it!


12 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X) shown in size small
  • 29 (33, 37, 41, 45, 49, 53" (bust measurement does not include the front flaps where they overlap)


  • 520( 640, 770, 925, 1100, 1330, 1600) yards of bulky/ aran yarn. Sample in Cascade Eco +
  • 1 set US 101/2 - 6.5 mm double-point needles
  • 1- 24 inch length US 101/2 - 6.5 mm circular needle

You Will Also Need:

  • 4 stitch markers (plus 2 more are optional)
  • Scrap yarn for sleeve
  • Tapestry needle
