Pattern Description:
A fun pattern for all levels of knitters and designed with the newer knitter in mind. Easy Breezy makes a great first sweater!
The front and back are worked in a simple knit and purl pattern, with garter stitch edging and yoke. Shoulder/sleeve seams are knit together using a three-needle bind-off. Detailed directions are included.
The optional flowers can be made in contrasting colors, or even different yarns, as many or few as desired. Directions included.
As pictured, Easy Breezy was knit with Valley Yarns Longmeadow (60% cotton, 40% microfiber). A yarn that's great to work with and wear, and is economical as well!
Gauge:
22 stitches = 4"
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Chest: 32 (36, 40, 44)"
- Total length 21 (21 1/2, 22, 22 1/2)"
- Armhole depth: 7 1/2 (8, 8 1/2, 9)"
- Shoulder width: 19 1/2( 21 1/2, 23 3/4, 26)"
Materials:
- Approximately 940 - 1170 yards of DK cotton or cotton blend yarn
- #6 US (4 mm) needles or size to get gauge
- 4 medium size stitch holders
- Tapestry needle for side seams
