Pattern Description:

Worked from the bottom up seamlessly up to the armholes. The body is then divided into front and back and finished by working flat with. The collar is added once the neckline and shoulder shaping have been completed.

Finished chest circumference:31 (341/2, 381/4, 413/4, 451/2, 49, 523/4) in / 78.5 (87.5, 97, 106, 115.5, 124.5, 134) cm chest circumference.
Vest shown measures 341/2 in / 87.5 cm, worn with 2 in / 5cm of ease.

Yarn:Sublime Egyptian cotton DK (100% cotton; 115 yd / 105 m / 50 g): #329; 6 (7, 8, 9, 9, 10, 11) balls.
Substitute with approximately 690 (760, 840, 920, 1000, 1080, 1160) yds / 630 (700, 770, 840, 920, 990, 1060) m of DK weight yarn with the following knitting gauge.

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rnds = 4" in St st and in Checkered stitch pattern. Adjust needle size if necessary to get the correct gauge.

Needles and notions:Size 4mm (US6) circular needles, 30-40 in / 80-100 cm long for body.
Size 4mm (US6) circular needles, 16 in / 40 cm long for collar.
Stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle.

Gauge:

22 sts and 28 rnds = 4" in St st and in Checkered stitch pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • To fit bust 30-32, 34, 36-38, 40-42, 44, 46, 48-50
  • Finished chest circumference:31 (341/2, 381/4, 413/4, 451/2, 49, 523/4) in / 78.5 (87.5, 97, 106, 115.5, 124.5, 134) cm chest circumference.
