Pattern Description:
A great beginner sweater project, this cardigan uses worsted-weight yarn, has a top-down raglan construction and is completely seamless. The only finishing you'll have to do is picking up stitches for the button bands.
Shaped 3/4-length sleeves and a slightly cropped length make this a great spring/summer garmentperfect to wear with a cami, tank, or light t-shirt underneath.
Gauge:
4.5 stitches & 6 rows = 1" in St st
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 32 (36, 40, 44, 48)"
Materials:
- Yarn: 660 (730, 820, 890, 980) yds worsted weight yarn for main color, approx 100 yds for contrasting color for top stripes, shown in 220 Wool by Cascade (100% Peruvian Wool; 100 g=220 yds), 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) skeins for main color, 1 skein for contrasting color.
- Needles: 24" and 16" circular knitting needles in size US 8 or size needed to obtain gauge
- Needles: 24" circular knitting needles and DPNs in size US 7 or 1 needle size smaller than used to obtain gauge
You Will Also Need:
- 8 stitch markers
- 2 pieces of scrap yarn, around 20" in length
- Tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in ends
- 4 buttons, 1/2 -3/4"
