Pattern Description:
This sweater is specifically designed for inflexible yarns such as cotton, linen or silk (I made it with a yarn that is a blend of these three fibers). The wide cowl neck eliminates problems with pulling a closer-fitting neckband over the head, and the twisted ribbing adds flexibility to the ribbing borders.
The sweater is worked completely in the round, so there are no seams (just a small join at the underarms).
Gauge:
11 sts = 2"
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 38"/40"/42" chest measurement
Materials:
- 500-600 g of inflexible yarn such as cotton, linen or silk
- No. 2 and No. 4 dp and circular needles; No. 3 straight or DP needle (for binding off)
- Stitch markers and stitch holders
You Will Also Need:
- Yarn needle for working in ends
