Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, decrease, increase
  • instructions for 3 needle cast off and picking up stitches are given

Pattern Description:

All babies are cherubs aren't they?!
These are so quick and easy to make that they would be a good pattern for a last minute baby shower gift.

These sweet bootees are knitted flat on two needles using DK/8 ply yarn.
Wings are made separately and added to the back seam.

I used DK superwash wool but other soft wool-mix, cashmere or alpaca yarns would be fine too. 100% cotton may be a bit heavy for the wings to sit up properly though.

20 sts, 27 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch on 4 mm (US 6) needles, using DK/8 ply yarn

  • 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months
