Pattern Description:

All babies are cherubs aren't they?!
These are so quick and easy to make that they would be a good pattern for a last minute baby shower gift.

These sweet bootees are knitted flat on two needles using DK/8 ply yarn.
Wings are made separately and added to the back seam.

I used DK superwash wool but other soft wool-mix, cashmere or alpaca yarns would be fine too. 100% cotton may be a bit heavy for the wings to sit up properly though.


20 sts, 27 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch on 4 mm (US 6) needles, using DK/8 ply yarn

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months
  • 7 cms/2.75", 8 cms/3.25 ", 9.5 cms/3.75"


  • DK/8 ply yarn: 3 sizes: 30 (35, 40) gms; 60 (70, 80) m / 66 (77, 88) yds

You Will Also Need:

  • 1 pair 4 mm (US 6) needles
  • a size larger needle for casting off
