This pattern was designed as my entry for the Unwind 2013 Single Skein Design Competition.
It uses just a single 100g skein of sock/4ply yarn in the smallest size and only 2 in the largest. A great project for using that irresistible skein of hand dyed yarn lurking in your stash. As the design is quite clean it will suit even a colourful variegated yarn.
There is nothing tied around baby's neck, instead there is a concealed button behind the 'faux' bow to fasten the cardigan at the neck.
It is knit from the top down and is seamless (except for the bow being sewn into place and the mitred hem/facings).
This is a simple knit and would be perfect as a smart gift for a new baby or worn over a pretty dress.
The pattern is written in sizes newborn to 18 months and includes a schematic.
28 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10cm on 3 1/4mm needles
