Pattern Description:

Simple, classic, easy to embellish however you desire. Big Thom is the older version of Thom with a "TH", for children 4 to 12 years old. This is the perfect pattern for someone ready to tackle their first sweater, with a top-down seamless construction. It is also extremely versatile for those a little more adventurous: add stripes or color work, cables or texture - the possibilities are endless.

Gauge:

18 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inch - 10 cm square in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • SIZE 4 years (6 years, 8 years, 10 years, 12 years)
  • FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Chest: 25 (27, 28 1/2, 30, 32) inches - 63 (68, 72, 76, 81) cm Body length from underarm: 10 (11, 13, 14, 15) inches - 25 (28, 33, 35, 38) cm Sleeve length from underarm: 10 1/2 (12, 14, 15, 16) inches - 27 (30, 35, 38, 41) cm

Materials:

  • 1 4.5 mm - US 7 circular needle and/or set of double pointed needles
  • Stitch markers (at least 4)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Needle and thread to match yarn
  • Waste yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • 4 5/8 inch- 15 mm buttons
