Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Using a circular needle both straight and in the round, knit, purl, cables, basic increases and decreases

Pattern Description:

Bev is a top down cap sleeve cardigan with cables down the center of each seam and at the midriff area to privide a little shaping. As with most top down sweaters, finishing is at a minimum and you can easily try Bev on as you knit to get just the right length. It makes up equally well in cotton or wool for year around wear.

Gauge:

4.5 sts = 1" in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • FINISHED CHEST MEASUREMENTS: 32 (35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 51, 54)"

Materials:

  • 630 (690, 770, 870, 950, 1000, 1100, 1200) yds of Worsted Weight Yarn
  • #8 circular needles at least 24" long or size needed to get gauge
  • 1 size smaller circular needle for ribbing, 16" & 24" long
  • 1-7 buttons
  • 8 ring markers
  • Scrap yarn to hold sts
  • Cable needle
