Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit, purl, basic increases and decreases, picking up stitches

Pattern Description:

Beth was inspired by a jeans jacket that one of our class members was wearing one day. It features a hemmed edge rather than ribbing for more of a jacket look and vertical lines to echo the seaming in the original jacket.
This is an easy sweater to knit and one that should give you lots of wear.

Gauge:

4.5 sts = 1" in stockinette with larger needle

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • FINISHED CHEST MEASUREMENTS: 36 (38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54)"

Materials:

  • 1000 (1125, 1150, 1200, 1250, 1325, 1400, 1450, 1550, 1625) yds of worsted weight yarn
  • #7 needles or size needed to get gauge
  • #6 or 1 size smaller than larger size
  • 1 - 3/4" to 1" button
