Pattern Description:

A baby's jacket with a crosswise yoke and sleeves, and a peaked hood. The jacket buttons up to the chin, to keep the neck warm. Yoke can be contrast color, or striped, or you can make the entire jacket in a single color. In the sample jacket shown in the illustration, the hood and lower body are done in tan (C1); the sleeves in cream (C2); and the yoke in cream and tan stripes (C1 and C2).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 22", 24" and 26" chest measurement


  • No. 4 circular needle (used for back and forth knitting)
  • No. 4 straight needle for binding off
  • Light worsted weight yarn, 6 (7, 8) 50-g balls
