This is a classic baby jacket that was passed on to me in rudimentary form by my mother (a few hand written scribbles on a piece of paper) and I have developed it to its present state. The pattern must be at least 80 years old. It has taken me a couple of years to test and perfect it.
The jacket has been handed out for the babies of friends and family and they have loved it as it fits snugly round the top and is very practical, even though it is very old! Some of the Mums have used it on recently-born babies as it has a shaped sleeve cuff which fits round the wrist and can be rolled back.
The jacket is knitted sideways and is all in one.. The only seam to be sewn is the sleeves.
Any money raised from sales of the pattern will be donated to the local animal welfare centre.
