Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cables, increases, decreases, attached I-cord trim

Pattern Description:

Aurora Canyon is a classic cardigan, fitted, with a slight flare below the
waist. Cables and a pretty stitch pattern on fronts and back are flanked by waffle rib side panels that naturally create a flattering scooped shirt-tail shaping above the hips.

Sweater is worked from the bottom in one piece to underarms, with bod- ice fronts and back worked separately. Shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined using 3-needle bind off. Sleeves are set in. Attached I-cord trims front edges and neckline.

Gauge:

17 sts and 25 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 30 1/2 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50 1/2, 56)" / cm. Shown in size 38 worn on a 36" bust

Materials:

  • Needles size 8 US / 5 mm straight or circular needles, pair of size 4 US / 3.5 mm double-pointed needles, cable needle or double pointed needle

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle, 8 stitch markers, six 3/4" buttons

Suggested yarn:

1400 yards of Worsted weight
