Last year my sweet little niece, Amelia, was born and lived only 7 hours. I'm sure she's watching us from above as an angel. This little angel dress is for her!
Perfect for newborns to 2 years old! (With modifications in the pattern to make it for a preemie and 2T-4T with fingering and worsted weight yarn, respectively.)
Worked flat to accommodate a offset back button band, and then joined to work in the round, this top down, seamless raglan design is quick and simple. The angel lace pattern on the sleeves, and again just above the hem, offer an interesting and unique challenge.
The sample was knit with Cascade Yarn 220 Superwash Sport, but any sport weight or DK weigh yarn able to get gauge would work fine.
Chest: 16 1/2 (17 1/2, 18 1/2, 19 1/2, 20 1/2) inches - 42 (44 1/2, 47, 49 1/2, 52) cm, 0-3 (3-6, 6-12, 12-18, 18-24) months
Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Sport 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) balls
1 set of 3.25 mm (US 3) double pointed or 16" circular needle

I've always loved to make things with my hands. I've scrapbooked, sewn, even made saddles and western chaps! Since having babies I've embraced my inner grandma and become completely obsessed with knitting and crochet.
With four boys, and now a girl, I've focused my designing on darling boy clothing, and occasionally entertain the cute girl things that keep showing up on my needles!
