Pattern Description:
Allegro is an easy open front cardigan worked from the top down in a warm worsted weight wool. The straight body is shaped at the waist by the cable on the back, gathering the fabric to create a flattering silhouette.
The finishing is limited to weaving in the ends and sewing the buttons, making this design an easy and rewarding project. The construction also allows for easy customization, making attractive to a wide range of knitters.
Gauge:
20 sts and 32 rows = 4"X4'' in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Bust (finished garment): 31 (35, 39, 43, 47, 51, 55.5) inches
Materials:
- 1050 (1150, 1275, 1425, 1550, 1675, 1850) yards of worsted weight wool. Sample shows Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in color 'Pampas Heather'
You Will Also Need:
- US size 7 (4.5mm) long straight or circular 32 inches or longer
- US size 7 (4.5mm) set of DPNs for round knitting (optional)
- Tapestry needle
- 4 stitch markers
- 1 cable needle
- Scrap yarn or stitch holder for holding sleeve stitches
