A number of years ago my youngest nephew pointed out that I had never knitted a sweater for him (he doesn't remember the baby sweater!). He picked the color, I picked the cables. He's outgrown it now, but the result is a very nice sweater suitable for men and women.
The sweater is a modified drop shoulder silhouette, knitted from the top down from the shoulder saddle. Knitted flat to the bottom of the armholes, then knitted in the round. Sleeves are also knitted in the round, from the top down. Finishing is minimal and sleeve and body lengths can easily be adjusted as you knit.
Our sample is knitted in "Autumn" worsted weight yarn.
5 sts/7.5 rows = 1 inch in reverse stockinette
