Pattern Description:
Inspired by Victorian era underskirts, Agnes is worked from the top-down, starting with a waistband and placket opening that are knitted flat then joined and worked in the round to the bottom of the petal-like trim.
Cables border a ribbed section at the front, and layers of flirty, ruffles at the back to give a bustle effect.
Designed to be worn with the matching Violet corset, (pictured), Agnes looks fabulous dressed up or down, especially if you have a wiggle in your walk!
Gauge:
24 stitches x 30 rows = 4"/10cm worked in Stockinette stitch, using US 4/3.5 mm knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Finished Waist Circumference: 23 (25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35)" / 58.5 (63.5, 68.5, 73.5, 78.5, 84, 89) cm.
Materials:
- Main Colour (MC): Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Dyed Cotton (100% Organically Grown Cotton), 65g/2.29oz, 150yds/137m. 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6) Skeins of # 311 Gardenia. Contrast Colour (CC): Filatura Di Crosa Golden Line Superior (70% Cashmere, 30% Silk), 25g/0.88oz, 330yds/300m. 2 Balls # 01 White. Or yarn that knits to specified gauge.
- Needles 1 pair of US 2/3mm knitting needles 1 24"/60cm or longer US 4/3.5mm circular needle
