Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cast on using a provisional cast on
  • Increase using KRL (explained in pattern)
  • Decrease using SSK and K2tog
  • Knit in the round
  • Pick up stitches
  • Work lace using a chart

Pattern Description:

Adagio is an open cardigan worked seamlessly from the top down, starting with a provisional cast on. The back is adorned with a classic diamond lace pattern and the hem, cuffs and collar are worked in a beautiful ripple pattern.

With minimum finishing and worsted weight yarn, this makes for an easy and rewarding project.

Gauge:

20 sts and 32 rows = 4"X4'' in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X)
  • Bust (finished garment): 32.5 (35.5, 39.5, 43.5, 46.5, 50.5, 54) inches

Materials:

  • 1050 (1150, 1275, 1425, 1550, 1675, 1850) yards of worsted weight wool
  • US size 7 (4.5mm) long straight or circular 32 inches or longer
  • US size 7 (4.5mm) set of DPNs for round knitting (optional)

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle
  • 4 stitch markers
  • Scrap yarn for holding sleeve stitches
