  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in one round
  • knit and purl

Pattern Description:

Lovely zebra beanie with a tasseled zebra tail.
It took me an eternity to figure out how to do the top.
Tried several patterns until I found the perfect one.
Now I(tm)m really proud of it.

Gauge:

Knitting gauge: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows in stranded knitting.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • about 54 - 56 cm head circumreference
  • Note: For bigger heads use needle size 3.25 - 3.5 mm or 5-ply yarn or both.

Materials:

  • 45 g of black 4-ply sock yarn and 45 g of off-white 4-ply sock yarn
  • For bigger sizes or a more slouchy version use 5-ply yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Circular needle 40 cm 3.00 mm and 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm for the top of the head

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Any 4 - 5 ply yarn will do

Colorway:

off-white and black
