Basic Skills Necessary:

  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in one round

Pattern Description:

Would you like to show your loved ones that they are your "little star"?
Then you can do it now with this supercute two color beanie.
Choose your favorite yarn and the favorite colors of your loved ones and everyone can see it!

The pattern includes 5 sizes from baby to adult.
Additional pattern adjustments can be made by adding additonial repeats (slouchyness) or yarn and needle size.

Gauge:

Knitting gauge: 1 x 1 inch = 7 stitches and 8 rounds in stranded knitting. (Acrylic yarn 214 yards/50g)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This hat comes in five sizes. Baby size XS: 40 " 42 cm head circumreference Toddler size S: 42 " 44 cm head circumreference Size M: about 52 " 54 cm head circumreference Size L: about 55 cm " 58 cm head circumreference Size XL: about 60 cm head circumreference
  • Additional size adjustments can be made by going up one needle size or/and yarn weight

Materials:

  • a circular needle 3.0 mm 40 cm /for the baby and toddler hat just use double pointed needles
  • a set of double pointed needles 3.00 mm for the top of the hat
  • 4-ply yarn (e.g. sock yarn, Acrylic yarn or Merino) in: 35 g in black 35 g in off-white or white (or two contrasting favorite colors)

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

214 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Buttinette Versailles but you can use any similar 4 -to 5-ply yarn

Colorway:

use your favorite colors!
