This is the fingering weight version of the original Bilberry Shawl. This version gives a shallower but wide shawl by extra increases and has a slightly different picot cast off. The sample is made using The Natural Dye Studio Precious 4 ply which is a silk yarn and gives fabulous drape, perfect for summer. The colour is Red Brook. This pattern is relatively easy, so it is suitable for a beginner knitter. Increases are by yarn overs, the body has sections of eyelets made by yarn overs and the edging is a simple picot cast off. It is an easy lace design. It will also be available in the set of 3 patterns - The Berry Shawl Collection - here on Craftsy Please note that the price of this pattern will increase to $5 on 1st September, to be consistent with prices on other wesbites.
